The short itinerary to discover Narni is a walk of about 1 hour (if you visit the monuments the time becomes 3 hours and a half) among the most important attractions of the city with departure and return to Piazza Garibaldi.

After leaving the car into the Suffraggio parking lot, through elevators and after some walk it is easy to arrive at Piazza Garibaldi, point of departure for walking inside the walls of Narni.
Leaving back Piazza Garibaldi and on the right the Palazzo Vescovile – today’s under renovation – you go up to visit the Cathedral of San Giovenale, heart of the town’s religious life and the artworks’ treasure chest which go from Romanesque to Baroque architecture.
Leaving the cathedral the goes up continues: what we suggested is, from Via Garibaldi to take to the left Via del Campanile, following some newspapers the most beautiful street ( and most photographed) of Italy.
From the stairs you arrive at the higher point of Narni where it rises the austere and mystical Church of San Francesco and, further on, Eroli Palace, headquarter of the museum, the art gallery and the municipality library.
Visited the museum, following Via Saffi, you arrive at the gardens of San Bernardo – with splendid views of the valley of Nera and the Abbey of San Cassiano – where there is the entrance to Narni Underground and the fascinating underground environments.
Exited from the former Church of San Domenico today’s Auditorium Bartolotti,the short itinerary go towards, goes along the Mazzini street first encountering the Palazzo Scotti and the Marzi Tower and then the suggestive Church of Santa Maria Impensole which preceding the entrance of the splendid Piazza dei Priori, where you can observed the power palaces of the town: from the Podestà Palace– today’s municipality’s headquarter – to the Priori Palace, without forget the Manini Theater from the 19th century.
Continuing to Via Garibaldi, at the end on the left you enter Via dell’Arco Romano.
Back down on Piazza Garibaldi it is possible to continue the itinerary towards Ternana Gate, enjoying the beautiful landscape of the valley and then go up and visit the last church of the terzieri , the splendid Santa Margherita.
The short itinerary ends with the return in Piazza Garibaldi.
