The Church of Santa Marina, now under renovation, is dedicated to the patron saint of the village along the banks of the Nera and is located in the heart of the village of Stifone.

The Building, of medieval origin, was amplified and modified in 1600 in its actual shape. 

Ha one aisle divided in  three bays with cross vaults and is characterized by the terracotta portal and the bell tower.

The artworks inside the church.

Several interesting artworks preserved inside the church which has three altars : 

  • on the left an interesting baptismal font
  • on the central altar there is a fresco with the Trinity crowning the Virgin and, below, San Michele stabbing the devil between the heads of Santa Rita of Cascia and San Sebastiano;
  • on the right side of the presbiterium another canvas with the representation of a Saint and Santa Marina with a child like tells the legend linked to the Saint; 
  • on one of the alta , a canvas with Santa Lucia, Sant’Antonio and a franciscan Saint 

in the other the Madonna del Rosario.
